The End of an Era

When I first started this blog, I really enjoyed learning about raising a kitten and researching all things Ragdolls and cats. But over the last year, I've found myself not having the time or energy to focus on this blog. I tried shifting the posting schedule, writing and banking a bunch of blog posts, developing new ideas to keep myself interested, but it just wasn't working. I'd lost the passion I had for this blog, and for awhile I beat myself up about it, but I don't anymore. We as humans are always changing, and it is okay to let go of things that do not benefit us in the way they used to.
I'm grateful that I have this blog to keep these memories alive, but now that Franklin is 2 years old, we've said goodbye to Kap, and adopted Mookie AND Eisenhower (a dog!) I think it's time to stop beating myself up about not putting effort into this blog and take my final bow. It is the end of an era. And the beginning of a new chapter in my life.
I know only a few friends and family members read this blog, so this post is as much for them as it is myself. Thank you for going on this journey with me, a dog mom who NEVER thought she would be a cat mom. A person with cat allergies who overcame those allergies for the love of her life.

I love being a cat mom. My boys are sweet and snuggly and I love them so much. I'll forever be grateful to John for turning me into a cat mom by letting me into his life so much that I wasn't just his girlfriend, but the Meemaw to his cats, Tiger and Kap. Our little family has suffered loss and gained new love, and the journey is still going strong. I'm just not going to blog about it anymore.

For now I will be posting sporadically still on Franklin's instagram, but that has already taken such a backseat to life that it will be rare to post there, but it will happen. The world should have the opportunity to see how freaking cute my little family is.
In conclusion, I once again say thank you to those who read my blog, and if you are new to the blog reading this, take a look around at the other posts. You may learn something, or smile at a story, or feel seen knowing you are not alone in your grief when losing a beloved pet. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season.

With love, Miranda
